Stop paying for power your plant never uses.
We design, build and install capacitor banks below your meter. We measure your load before we quote, size the correction to what we find, and prove the result on the same meter your DisCo bills you from.
Your meter charges the hypotenuse. Correction collapses the vertical side, so the same useful work costs less apparent power.
Low power factor is a cost you are already paying
Motors, chillers, lifts, compressors and welding sets all draw reactive power. It does no useful work, but your supply, your cables, your transformer and your generator all have to carry it. Six places it shows up:
-
Maximum demand billed in kVA
Your MD charge follows apparent power. At a power factor of 0.75 you are billed for a third more capacity than your machines actually use.
-
Reactive power penalties
Many industrial and commercial tariffs surcharge sites that fall below the required power factor. That line item exists purely because of uncorrected reactive load.
-
Generators sized for kVA
A set is rated in kVA. Reactive load eats that rating, so you run a larger set, or a second set, to carry a real load a smaller one could have handled.
-
Heat in cables and transformers
Losses rise with the square of current. The extra current carried for reactive power is burned off as heat in your distribution, and you pay for every unit of it.
-
Transformer capacity you cannot reach
A 500 kVA transformer at 0.72 power factor delivers about 360 kW. Correcting it frees headroom you already own, without a new transformer or a new connection.
-
Voltage drop and nuisance tripping
High current at the end of a long run pulls voltage down, motors run hot, and protection trips on load steps that should be routine.
An engineered system, sized to your load
A capacitor bank supplies reactive power locally, at your busbar, instead of dragging it through the meter from the grid or your generator. The capacitor itself is the cheap part. The engineering is in sizing it to your load, switching it as that load moves, and protecting it from the harmonics on your network.
-
Automatic, stepped correction
A power factor relay switches capacitor steps in and out as your load changes through the shift, holding target power factor instead of over-correcting at night.
-
Detuned reactors where harmonics exist
Drives, UPS systems and LED lighting distort the waveform. Where our survey finds significant harmonics, we specify detuned reactors so the bank does not resonate with them.
-
Built for Nigerian conditions
Heat-rated components, generous ventilation, HRC fuse protection and an enclosure specified for the room it goes in, whether that is an air-conditioned switchroom or a dusty plant floor.
What correction does not do
Power factor correction lowers the kVA you draw and the penalties you pay. Beyond a small cut in the losses inside your own distribution, usually one to three percent, it does not reduce the kWh your machines consume, and it will not make an inefficient process efficient.
If your tariff is a flat energy rate with no demand component and no power factor penalty, correction will save you very little on the bill, and we will tell you so after the survey rather than sell you a panel.
Any supplier offering a plug-in box that cuts your energy consumption is describing something that does not exist.
Five steps, and you can stop after the second
Nothing is installed until the numbers justify it. If the survey shows correction is not worth it on your tariff, the report is yours and there is no charge.
-
Measure your electrical parameters
We clamp a power quality logger on your incomer and record for a full working week: kW, kVAr, kVA, power factor, current, voltage and harmonic distortion, at the intervals your tariff is settled on.
-
Analyse the usage against your bill
The logged profile is read against twelve months of your actual invoices, so the saving is calculated on your tariff, your demand charge and your penalty structure, not on a generic model.
-
Design the system
Bank rating, step sizing, switching type, reactor detuning, protection, cable sizing and enclosure are specified for your load pattern, with a single-line diagram and a bill of materials you can take to any other contractor for comparison.
-
Build and install the panel
The panel is assembled, factory tested and installed below your meter, typically during a planned shutdown or a weekend window. Commissioning is witnessed by your own engineer.
-
Verify the result on the meter
We log again after commissioning and compare like for like against the baseline. You get a closing report showing measured power factor, measured kVA reduction and the effect on your next invoice.

Illustrative placeholder data.3 Results vary by tariff class, load profile, existing power factor, harmonic content and how the site is operated. Nothing on this page is a projection for your facility. Your figures come from your own logged data and your own invoices, and we put them in writing before you commit to anything.
Where correction pays back fastest
Motor-heavy, generator-dependent sites on a demand tariff see the shortest payback. If you are not on this list, the survey will still tell you where you stand.

Judge us on the meter, not the brochure
Every claim we make about your site is traceable to a measurement we took on your site.
-
Measured baseline before anything is quoted
A week of logged data on your incomer, taken before we propose a rating. No estimate from a nameplate survey.
-
Savings calculated on your own invoices
We work from twelve months of your bills, on your tariff band. If the arithmetic does not support the investment, we say so.
-
Registered engineers on every design
Designs are prepared and signed off by COREN-registered electrical engineers. Registration numbers appear on the drawings we hand you.
-
Standards-rated components
Capacitors, contactors, reactors and protection to IEC 61921 and IEC 61439, specified by part number in the bill of materials before you sign.
-
Post-installation verification in writing
A closing report comparing measured before and after on the same meter, at the same intervals, under comparable load.
-
Warranty and local service
24-month warranty on the panel, spares held in Nigeria, and a maintenance visit schedule so failed steps are found before they cost you a demand peak.
Find out what your power factor is costing you
The assessment is free and takes one week of logging plus one meeting. You end up with your load profile and a written figure, whether or not you buy a panel from us.
